For all you backwoods folks – the ones who really want to get away from it all, who don’t mind roughing it without power or internet (gasp!) – I’ve just listed a 54+ acre parcel of land at the back end of the south fork of Trumbull Canyon. This is rugged country sans roads other than the access. It climbs considerably to the top of the ridge, and so we’ve priced it, appropriately, at $1112.75 per acre. For that kind of money, you get a piece of the rock – numerous ones, actually… I have by no means seen more than a little bit of this place so I can’t do a lot of describing… What I have seen offers tall pines, huge boulders, a few hoodoos and views of the valley. I’ve ordered a topographical overlay so we’ll all be able to see what the terrain is - I’ll get that posted on my website when I get it later this week (check-back, please). Here is what I know – there is a private, 20' easement leading from a graveled (but still private) easement through a 25 acre parcel of ground. It’s an old logging trail – overgrown and needing work just to get to the property. At the ‘front’ end (the northern end) there appears to be a nice building spot – it’s logical at least, because to go beyond this point, you’d be into some serious road building… The seller has agreed to give easement to bring power back to the lot if you should really want it – it won’t be cheap. Most folks would go solar instead. Can’t do without the internet? Satellite could work. If you decide you’d like to see this, give me ample notice, bring your hiking boots and a bottle of water, and we’re off!
